Blankenberge pier and beach

Blankenberge Pier

Zeedijk · Free to walk · Iconic landmark

Built in 1933 and rebuilt several times since, the Blankenberge Pier extends 350 metres into the North Sea. It is one of the few remaining sea piers on the Belgian coast and offers spectacular panoramic views. At the end you will find a café and information about the pier's history.

Visit at sunset for the best photographs. The pier is free to access and open year-round, weather permitting.

Family · Unique · Outdoor

A Blankenberge institution since 1933. Rent one of the quirky, old-fashioned bicycles — some with unusual designs — and ride laps on the circular velodrome track. It is hilarious fun for all ages and something you will not find anywhere else on the coast.
